Bangkok (Krung Thep in thai), the city of angels, is the capital of Thailand, the largest urban area and primary city of Thailand with an estimated population of over 11 million. Administratively the city is split up into 50 khet (districts) and has a registered 1,000 skyscrapers and ranks 17th as the world's tallest city. Bangkok has grown to become the political, social and economic center of Thailand.
